No. That’s bullshit. People bully because they’re fucking mean. They’re not jealous, they’re being rude. Stop excusing their actions. Some people are just fucking rude

That is a result of the damage these excuses cause, actually, and it’s one of the most upsetting things to happen to our generation. Adults brushed bullying off and deemed it a thing that children do. They pull each others hair, they engage in roughhousing, they call each other mean names. It was simple back then. “Oh just ignore them” “tell them to stop” “stand up for yourself! be tough!”
Bullying has evolved. It’s not about children being too young to learn to play nice. Teenagers do it now. Adults do it as often as little kids. It has leaked into the internet, where there are no regulations or moderators. It cannot be ignored and you can’t fight back because you’ll be the bully. The old rules don’t work anymore. People don’t want to admit that so they develop excuses around it. People start to think that bullying cannot be stopped, but I KNOW it can.
We just have to stop kidding ourselves and realize that these excuses are not the problem. The problem is people who think it is wise or good or whatever to hurt another person and people who tell them it’s okay because they “just don’t know how to deal with their issues”
